Neither Ken nor MIke are posting on this thread. It is just a couple high school kids from Abington track team. They are ghosting the thread and bragged about it last night. Expect it to get worse before better. Mr. Berrios would not be happy but can't touch anyone now.
Have fun but it is all a joke on you people.
Maybe so, maybe so
Yeah. I can be there Saturday or Sunday. Sunday works best for me. Plus, isn't Peachtree in Atlanta on the 4th?
But I need incentive. If you know what I mean. $$
you win. i pay your travel expenses.
i win. you pay me $200
Ummm no. I'm driving in and out and probably have just a couple of meals. That won't add up to $200.
How about:
I win and you pay me $200 plus buy me lunch.
You win and I pay you $125 and I'll buy you lunch.
The difference is what I think it will cost me to get there.

ok. that will work.
we can meet at the alpharetta ymca parking lot sunday at 630. we could run the greenway, but i think it may still be flooded from rain we had. if it is we will find another easy to follow route.

So, Ken, you going to be able to be there to film this?
Also - can we get some terms down for what counts as winning? Is this a Rossi winning race? Are you just racing back to your cars and then driving to a fixed point?

This sounds like a real winner of a 4th of July plans.
Who says we can't hit 10,000 on July 4th
I assume you have a GPS watch so I can make sure you don't Rossi the course, right?
And what's the distance? 16, 18? Not that it matters to me.
I really don't understand why someone would challenge Mike Rossi to a run at 3:11 marathon pace then somehow end up offering to pay to fly a random person in Atlanta (who is not Mike Rossi) to the Philly area to see who can drop whom on a run?
What is the purpose of Runner Felice match-racing a random person from the Atlanta area? How does that have anything to do with Mike Rossi's inability to run 3:11 marathon pace for more than even 5 miles?
And, again, WHY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH would Runner Felice pay for this random's person plane ticket? WHY WHY WHY?

To see who has a bigger dick.
My contribution to the effort.
Hope you enjoy!

It's sad that you even needed to explain this.

I am a family member.
They had marital problems long before this fiasco. It was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Cindy didn't like the media attention at all. Didn't you notice that she ever participated in an interview about the viral letter?
And yes, she is fully aware of the way Mike qualified for Boston. She doesn't really care about that, but she hates how this has taken over their life. Angry runners have been calling them, Mike is surfing the internet all day, Jack and Victoria are being bullied, they have to pay a lawyer...
Cindy just wants a quiet life again.
Actually, this makes a lot of sense.
Mike has a midlife crisis (because of his shitty DJ career, erection problems, his hair or whatever) -> the marriage between Cindy and Mike worsens -> Mike feels the need to prove himself to Cindy -> Mike decides to BQ -> Mike realizes he can’t BQ so he cheats -> Mike runs Boston -> we discover that Mike cheated -> this puts their family under huge stress -> divorce.
Mike tried to save his marriage but achieves the opposite. So sad.

If you read the exchange, you could tell that he was bluffing and the guy called his bluff. He never had any intention of racing even if the guy lived next door.
On the other hand, driving four hours on the off chance this other guy shows up? Not my cup of tea.

ROFL
Sorry, but I am not paying $300 to a random person on the internet to see who has the bigger dick. Even if you win, you're still out $300.
Speaking of small dicks, do you guys think that Rossi's wife knew about the cheating before it became public? I'm guessing she was not privy to his plan at all and he probably lied to her about BQing at the time. Quite possibly he is still attempting to lie to her about it. It's pretty telling that no one has publicly come to Rossi's defense in any way.
Yeah, but the original challenge was from Runner Felice to Mike Rossi to run 3:11 marathon pace. Why would some random guy from Atlanta call a bluff on that? The point isn't whether or not Felice can actually run 3:11 pace so who cares about challenging him? Secondly, why would Runner Felice then respond by accepting this challenge from random Atlanta guy with the Hungarian name and also offer to pay his travel costs? Runner Felice's whole point was to expose Mike Rossi. Why bother even respond to the Atlanta/Hungarian guy? All it does is change the subject from the Rossi call out.
