Seriously, Ken - when did you sleep?
Suddenly you care about me. That's touching.
New count 7570 raw. Less 12 posts by LMR and less 6 posts attacking LMR = 7544.
Net posts 152 raw. 134 that count.
Warning: the thread is slowing down.
I give you the McCall photos and video which shows a video of start is out there for the finding and tell you it is right in front of you and the thread still slows. Not good not good. Follow the video folks.
If there is something in the video that you've discovered why not tell us all. You'll go from poster of statistics to poster of the year.

I submit that the thread is slowing down because Mike has all his DJ buddies trolling people. And some of the folk that were posting here are now posting somewhere else and actually finding some interesting stuff to present to the RD.
I have a hunch it will be making a come-back soon.
Trolling issues aside, the video hasn't been mentioned before and is interesting. If Rossi did have an accomplice with his bib in their pocket, then
that person's chip/gun time differential will be the same as Rossi's (31 seconds). It should also be possible to find exact the portion of the start line video where all of the runners with this time differential pass by (also to look for Rossi himself).
I see him, 47 seconds

Why did you lop off the sentence about you posting 3:30 after your last post?
Did that cut a little too close, Ken?
I mentioned this several hundred pages ago. I believe that I can spot him in the far back of this picture on the LVM Facebook page. Download the picture from the FB site and zoom in and you'll see for yourself.
A guy with his hat and sunglasses can be seen between someone in a pink hat and another runner in a yellow hat.
By the way, I don't see anyone in any of the other race photos wearing that hat and glasses combination.
Now, if we could get Harry Fisher's raw video and pictures from the race, we might see some more interesting footage.
Also, based on my earlier review of the LVM pictures, the location of the guy I spotted lines up well with MR's + :31 starting time.
I went to the race pictures from first photo location shortly after the start of the race. It starts with roll #4 and Frame # 326

This set of pictures also is nearly continuous and MR is not there. However, I found bib numbers from the people who started near the guy I spotted and their delayed starting times line up with Mike's +:31.
So, my bet is that Mike crossed the starting line at +:31 and was off the course before he got to the first camera position several hundred yards from the start.

Ha ha ha. For some reason my iMac froze and now I'm in the road to the shore.
Have a great day everyone. Remember, the answer is out there. All we have to do is look.

So what does this prove? that he was standing around before or after the race? Unless the photo was taken during the race and Mike is standing around before the 3:11 mark, this proves nothing. Our best bet is to contact this Harry Fisher guy and see if he still has the raw footage.
My bad, I looked at a different picture, but even in the one you linked of the race start, I still can't see him, there is a guy that looks like him but has no hay on and there is no way anyone could verify if it was him or not.

As a matter of fact, there is no way to positively ID anyone in the back that photo, especially if you can only see their sunglass covered face.
You didn't look at the picture did you? The LVM Facebook photo shows what I believe to be MR crossing the starting mat. Couple that with his absence in the USCandids photo series several hundred yards later, it tells me that MR deviated from the race course shortly after the line. Most likely to the right side of the runners too.
By the way, to get the positioning of the first photo checkpoint look at the photo on roll 5 frame 420. You can see the banners from the start area in the far background.
And, as I said in my earlier post, getting Harry Fisher's raw video footage from the start or the last relay spot is our best bet here.
I'm not using the LVM Facebook picture as proof of MR's presence at the start. I'm using it to narrow the search criteria.
There is not doubt that his bib crossed the starting line at +:31. By pinpointing the likeliness of his location at the start, it might make it easier to find the smoking gun shot later.

I went to the facebook page and looked at another photo, that is my bad. Does the photo you are talking about have an African-American girl taking a picture in the bottom right corner? I am trying to confirm to make sure I have the right on it. I seriously cannot see anyone with a black hat and sunglasses crossing the line. Can anyone else take a look?

Ok that makes sense when you say it like that, and is that him right above the girl with the green singlet and thin green head band? Because you might have a case. So we would need to look on the far side of the video to find him. It took me a while to find him though.
No, go way, way to the back of the shot. He hasn't crossed the starting line yet. There is a guy with his hat and his sunglasses appearing between a guy with a yellow visor to his right and a pink hat to his left.
We're just establishing positioning here with this picture.

I see who you are talking about, but that hat looks navy blue to me.
