It is worth it.
Rossi, you should try it instead of 15 miles a week and then cheating to get into the Boston marathon.

That's why this conversation must continue until he is DQ'd or confesses.
So we are left with a liar or a weak RD. Not great chances.
Dear Wormer: Cheating, lying and in denial is no way to go through life, Mike Rossi.
Mike Rossi will forever be on Double Secret Probation within the running community. If he ever runs a race again, people will see him, smirk, laugh, talk behind his back, perhaps yell out some quips, and he will have plenty of people doing what he loves best, taking pictures of himself.
Man, I get that the dude cheated, but it's time to make like Anna and Elsa and let it go.
Some petty and vindictive people here.
Thanks for joining our conversation to tell us that people shouldn't be joining our conversation.

I don't really think he will care, tbh.
He took up running a couple of years ago, for the sole purpose of running the Boston Marathon. He's ticked that box off his bucket list - pretty easy for him to declare his hip injury will prevent him from ever running again, and drop the whole thing.
My only hope is he takes up Crossfit. Wouldn't it be great if we could pawn off Mikey on those Crossfit losers?

Not quite. I joined the conversation to tell you that you guys are being petty, vindictive, and mean.
If you want to continue to gather evidence in a dispassionate way, then go ahead.

We've got a green light, boys.
You are all idiots.
As much as we'd all love to hear a confession, we all should realize that this will never, ever happen. We should just let it go - MR is too much of a narcissist to admit wrongdoing and he's so incredibly deep into the lie that he can't get out now.
However, anyone who cares about this issue at all knows that he cheated - not one person believes him (cue for MR to post a supportive message under an alias). A simple web search will show that his reputation is in tatters. For those people who want justice of some sort, then you have it, and in a way that is more effective than a low-profile DQ would be.
One definition of insanity is repeating the same action while expecting a different result. Stop trying to bait him into a confession as it aint EVER happening. Be content with the fact the running world (and plenty of others) knows the truth.
Maybe go for a run or something.
Mike himself is keeping this whole thing going by not only refusing to confess that he cheated but by doing things such as constantly changing his Facebook profile to taunt everyone. This entire thing would've died had Mike not been posting here and taunting people.
Hi Mike
True, he will not confess. However, that doesn't preclude those here from putting pressure on the Lehigh Valley Health Network Via Marathon, its Race Director and Committee and calling attention to any other entities or people that could help get either a DQ or some clarity and transparency in the flawed decision, poorly worded statement, and failure to protect the interests of those runners who ran and competed fairly.

this would accelerate the timetable for 10000 posts a bit:
158 a day through end of June would be 2370
so 6683 + 2370 = 9053 on July 1
I think this will slow down, but it shows no signs of deceleration in quantity, serious deceleration in quality.
6/17 am: 7022 posts
We are ahead of schedule for 6/20 7K
339 posts over last 24 hours +- v. 158 posts previous 24 hours
Twice as much activity. If this pace holds 10k posts by July 1.
I still think it slows and we hit 10k around this years LVM.
6/18 am: 7244 posts
222 posts over last 24 hours v. 339 6/17 v. 158 6/16
the pace is still faster than 2 days ago but slower than yesterday
tomorrow and the weekend will tell the tale
I think a general slowing is occurring.
10000 posts by September's LVM is still on track

I wonder how many times his wife has asked him to confess and he just stands there and looks her in the eyes and tells her that he ran that face?
It's easy for him to make a screen name and tell people to get a life. Probably a little harder in person. And every night he sleeps on the couch it's going to get even more difficult. And every school function when the Rossi's try and talk with people they just shrug and walk away.
And then when he tries to run a race and every runner is staring and mocking him. And then he gets that feeling he's being followed - not to intimidate, just to make sure he doesn't leave the course.
There are some people who take cheating extremely serious. Especially in the wake of a terrorist attack. There are others who are taking a stand against bullying.
Whatever the cause, like 9/11, we will never forget.
Hi Mike - it's more than obvious you want this issue to go away so you can continue being a raging egomaniac and liar without anyone questioning your integrity. Share the photos and it will stop, trust me. Let's say you don't have access to the photos for whatever reason; then please provide ANY evidence that you ran the course. I'm sure even you can understand it's just about impossible for a running community to believe you would have been capable of a 3:11. It's also impossible to believe you have nothing shareable to back up your claim. It's that simple, why all the drama and why get all defensive? Post something credible on your blog or FB and end this, otherwise you'll continue being just a pathetic lying coward.
Mike Rossi looks like a crossfit type. Unfortunately most women prefer those types over a distance runner. Even though I've run 1:12 for a half marathon, I've dated color run/tough mudder type skinny chicks who are hot as hell but only run every other day (if that), only race a 5hr marathon and they don't go for guys like me. But they advertise on their profile that they are big into "running." Interesting.
I think Rossi comes across as unlikeable and I do not believe he ran 3:11. So he probably deserves the public pillory of this Letsrun thread.
And I am not sure when enough is enough. Maybe everybody should get a chance to cast a stone or voice their opinion.
But as for LoserMikeRossi, dude you need to move on. I am sorry to single you out as you are not the only one here. But you are destroying this thread and turning a reasoned discussion of running and timing based arguments into something that is really becoming sad and offensive. The latest example that has me posting: It is really inappropriate for you to get your self worked to a level where you are shrouding yourself in 9/11 references. You are absolutely misguided when you take that approach and it is insulting to the memory of those victims and families that endure that legacy.
I understand hyperbole and maybe your comments should just be attributed to you trying to get a reaction, but the vitriol of your posts belies that. I can't make you look in the mirror, and maybe you see yourself as some kind of avenger of marathon cheating appointed by God but from here you are making Rossi look good by comparison.
Just take your comments down a notch or two and come back to the world. Overall, the world is really a nice place and you can see a lot of good in it and in people. I'm not asking you to see any good in Rossi or everyone, just consider looking around and stop being so hyperbolic vitriolic negative. I am not gonna argue with you, and I do not really expect you to see it the way I do, but when you use the word "we" and 9/11 I just want you, and others, to know that there is another point of view out there as to how to post on this thread.
Cheaters suffer, they don't suffer because of this thread or because of the hate. They suffer when they bask in false glory and know the truth in their hearts. Imagine tucking a child into bed and them saying You are the greatest for doing that and you know you did not really do it the right way. That is the burden Lance Armstrong carried for a long time.
This thread has served its purpose as much as it can.
