I don't get the strategy of hounding USATF on this. They're sanctioning of a race is nothing more than "Yeah, we certify that this course is actually 26.2 miles long."

So what is the consensus? Did he cheat?

I believe it is because there are multiple Mike Rossi, some of whom are also runners so this is how we are distinguishing him.
Indeed there are many runners. Quite a few who also qualified for BQ. Lot's of great runners on this site who say hello on a daily basis and check out my facebook page. Great blokes.
But let's get something straight... THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE MIKE ROSSI

I think it's time to look in the mirror. The question we all need to ask ourselves is:
"Don't we all cheat in some way or another?"
After reading this entire thread, I did some soul searching. I thought about it long and hard, I asked myself this question several times and finally came to the inevitable conclusion...
no
I haven't been able to read all 5500 posts. Could someone please give me a recap of why MR is guilty?

Well, it's quite simple. The fact of the matter is
haters gonna hate.
Who exactly is this Mike Rossi character everybody is talking about?

He's a fantastic marathoner and stand-up dad. BQ qualified on 15 miles a week. A bit camera shy though.

Fraud/cheat at LVM marathon equation:
+ no show of MR in any 2014 LVM photos taken on marathon course after start or before finish
+ failure of MR to disclose GPS watch results of 2014 LVM
+ prior race results of MR, especially not breaking 22min for 5K, not equivalent to running a 3:11 marathon
+ training regimen of 15 mile p/w and LVM race day weather not conducive to produce a 3:11
+lack of elation and notification of achieving a BQ time through social networking based on past social networking activity regarding running/races leading up to the 2014 LVM
= fraud/cheat

Anyone got the selfie pics Mike claims to have from the LVM start? Can you post them for the world to see?

He should keep his mouth shut. Does he really think he'd win in a race against Mike Rossi?
Well, I guess it comes down to 2 things really...
1.) How far is the race?
2.) How full is his gas tank?
Question 1 is very important. If his car is 100m from the start line, of course you're going to win in a 100 or 200m dash.
However, if we're talking a full marathon, obviously you're going to lose against Mike's hyundai (assuming he's gassed her up).
Where it gets interesting is maybe a half mile. There'should the swwet spot where it's competitive.

Anything come from this, or was it a way to get your email addy? The fact he addressed it to one person vs the board is odd.

Not really. He was very cryptic asking for facebook to prove who I was. I havent heard back from whomever it was.

Mike seems to have a truck is his Ice Bucket Challenge.
But we have good news, as it seems the RD has agreed to look at our evidence, as she said in her original statement that she will consider any conclusive evidence in the future. This all may be coming to an end for Mr. Rossi very soon.
I emailed Rojo a while back, urging him to complete his much-anticipated article. This is his response that I got today: "Sorry, I published the article by mistake and then made it private. We were about to publish when they decided not to DQ so we decided to slightly alter the article but now have put off publishing as we're focused on NCAAs and the doping scandal.
Maybe next week?"
With NCAA this coming weekend I really, really hope we we something next week.
Mike Rossi of Abington PA, and East Coast Events Group is a cheater and a scumbag. How do like those googles, Mike?
I really want to hear how the complete lack of offical photos except at the finish line somehow proves he ran the race unless you are a guest of the state in Siberia.

Bring it on baby.
But think about this... you spent about the last 6 weeks of your life dedicated to watching me and my Facebook account. If this does indeed end, what will you do? Where will you be? I fear for you if I should no longer be in your life.
let's be honest. You have nothing new. If she does indeed agreed to review your evidence and nothing comes of it, please for the love of God just end this. Pretty soon they're going to have to name a mental disorder after you and your pals.I really do like you and I think your a great guy, so I don't want to see it come to this.
