This has always been Mike's problem. His lack of contrition and the belief that he somehow could "win" against people who had nothing to lose. The situation from the "trolls" perspective was as bad as it could get and, what's more, they also had no personal investment in this matter; just a feeling of wrongness about what Mike had done and seemingly gotten away with. How do you win against people with nothing to lose? It's just a fool's notion. On the other hand, Mike had plenty more he could lose, and so began his downward spiral as he pissed away any remnants of his reputation fighting like a petulant child to make a lie the truth. Perhaps if it had been a good lie it may have been worth a try, but the cheating was so blatantly obvious and so bad, there simply was no way to get out from under it. Yet he kept on, and on, and on.
Mike, you cheated at VIA and got caught. Twisting words and holding onto "not being DQ'd" like it was a victory was then, and remains now, foolish. I doubt your reputation can get much lower than it is now, but with the ending of the "$200,000.00 challenge" I would recommend that you accept that you have spent a year defeating yourself fighting against people who have nothing to lose. You need to walk away from this and let the thread die - perhaps actually think about what is best for you and your family, which certainly hasn't been being an internet tough guy who only ever managed to punch himself in the face, over and over and over. I'd also recommend letting go of constantly throwing out that "you ran Boston", as it really is only a reminder to people that you are a cheater. Nobody believes your version, Mike. Nobody. You need to leave that all behind. Do yourself and your family a favour and just walk completely away from the horrible fact that you cheated at VIA to run Boston. It was a huge mistake. Leave it behind you now.
