When is this meeting going to take place?

I assume the run "career" is done.
If the meeting comes to fruition it would truly be wonderful.
What would be better;
Rossi gets DQed
Barb gets fired
?
I go with Barb gets fired. I could be perfectly happy to see Rossi twist in the wind forever.

Happy Groundhog Day . . . . as if every day wasn't Groundhog Day on this thread.
A DQ from VIA would be nice but so long after the fact that I suspect they would only draw attention to how badly they handled the matter originally.

I agree that there has been for quite some time compelling evidence that Rossi cheated at the 2014 LVM, in order to BQ. And, I agree that Barb McKeever dropped the ball miserably by failing to DQ Rossi as soon as the evidence was presented to her. But, I disagree that a DQ at this time would only draw attention to how badly she and the others involved with the LVM screwed the pooch. All they have to do is say that, in light of the evidence that Rossi cheated at the Turkey Trot, and because the evidence of his cheating at LVM was strong (although, in their minds, still not conclusive), they decided to DQ Rossi from the 2014 LVM unless he could present evidence that he ran it. They should contact Rossi and give him one week to present such evidence. They know, we know, Rossi knows, and even Rossi's AOL attorney knows, that no such evidence exists. They can then DQ him. It wouldn't hurt the LVM or Barb at all, especially in the long run. On the other hand, coming on the heels of Rossi's recognition as one of Philly's Biggest Losers of 2015 on Philly.com, it would be devastating to Rossi. He could live with the fact that a bunch of runners world-wide knew him as a cheater. Our lives don't intersect with his all that often, if at all. But, the article put his cheating front and center in Philly, where his non-running friends, colleagues and past and potential future customers would see it. I think the article is why Rossi shut down his Twitter account. A DQ now would all but seal the deal for him. The Philly media would have a field day with the story, the running media would be all over it (good pub for LVM), and even the national media may finally feel obliged to do a follow-up story on the Viral Marathon Dad. It is never too late to do the right thing. And, in this case, if Barb finally does the right thing, it would be a welcome development, and it would be the first step in bringing closure to this whole sorry saga.

If BOTH of these things took place, I would absolutely run the LVM again. But until then... never.

I just do not believe any 'meeting' is taking place. As far as VIA is concerned they think this is a dead issue. They had the chance to DQ Rossi and took the easy way out...
Believe it when I see it.....

Sure smells like chumming the trolling waters.
I think it's possible, but not easy at this point. There's really not much more anyone could have done because the perp's cheating was identified so long after the race. I guess if they looked at it almost a year later and released a soft statement with plenty of room for further action, then there's always a possibility. I hope it never happens though. I'd rather see Mike get destroyed every time he peeks out of his Twitter hole.

It's as easy now as it is then. You just DQ him. What's hard is imagining that they would suddenly care. All the guilty parties just want this behind them.
But, it's sure been bad for Mike Rossi that they didn't DQ him. Careful what you wish for, Mike. He never would have earned the title of Philly's biggest loser without the assistance of Barb McKeever. She really deserves a mention for that award as her role was very important. She only had one job...

Technically, she had two jobs:
1. Make the obvious decision regarding cheater Mike Rossi
2. Cash all her checks for doing very little.

At this point by DQing The Cheater Mike Rossi they could make everyone happy. Mike had his moment in the sun - although manufactured and faked - and now with less publicity he can slink off to his basement and revel in his Boston swag.
We get justice for the sport. Barb gets schooled and Via gets to feel good all over.
But I think we're being trolled and for once would be happy to be proven wrong.

For mike to supply another fabricated estimate for a finish time so he can move up to an undeserved corral? Broad Street awaits.
I did not do this before, but I just Googled "Mike Rossi" - Only that... The first page was filled with hits related to his cheating. Wow, this guy has screwed up his life more than he likely even realizes. Everywhere he goes, everyone he meets, he must always wonder "Do they know?"
I expect that many times people will know that he is a cheat but out of kindness/pity not mention it... What a way to go through life... always wondering how much of the world knows that you are a fraud.
I saw the Youtube and the scene at the race kit pick up when someone congratulates him for getting in made me squirm just listening to it. How he could carry this sorry sham through is just beyond understanding.

Because...wait for it........wait for it.... HE'S STILL IN THE GAME, BABY!
I'll say this again.
He is still in the game, baby.
But all 12 of us are still in the game, too. I would exit as soon as Cheater Mike Rossi admitted guilt. I said that early and I say that now. But he just isn't man enough. Personal mocking and impact to loved ones be damned.

This made me think what if this was my father? Suppose you found out that 10 years ago your dad, a semi-celebrity and apparently nice guy, had done what Mike had done and you just saw the damage on an internet search. How would you feel about?
Personally I would be shocked knowing my dad had done anything remotely close to that. The fact the sins of the father were indeed passed on to me through no fault of my own would be very hard to take. Depending on the person it may have no affect or could be devastating.
