Was hoping to get some input about tapering information on what to do a week from a big race (state) and a prediction for my 800 meters. I've went 1:56 this year on multiple occasions. And have ran high 49 seconds for the open 400. I do about 20 miles a week and a lot of interval training. Yesterday I did a time predictor workout where I ran a 500 meters comfortably in 1:10 and then took about a min and a half off and run a 39-40 second 300 meter. Now I'm in no way capable of running 1:50 but was hoping to get some input. Hoping in good conditions and rested to go 1:53. Also if I was hoping to go 1:53-54 what should my first lap be. I usually kick with about a 27-28 second last 200 meter. First lap has been around 57-58. Another good workout Ive put in recently was a 4x400 meter workout with a 8 min break. Starting at 58, 55, 54, 51. Hoping to get some advice! Thanks!!!
