I am a sophomore in HS, currently averaging about 35-40 miles for my training cycle as a whole (4 months) This includes a big base and lots of track reps quite recently, plus some meets recently too.
Here are my times from the meets I have been a part of
4/6- 3200 11:04 (ran shitty, won by 1:20), 1600 5:10
4/13- 3200 10:53 (negative split, tactical race *only one real competitor in the race*) 1600 5:08 (negative split)
4/16- 4x8 split 2:18 (negative split and no one around) 1600 5:03 (negative split)

(1600 race video)
4/18- 4x8 split 2:18 (negative split, tactical) 1600 5:00.9
4/23- 3200 11:07 (ran to win, stayed with second until 1000 to go and then just did what I needed to win. not a hard race in any way) 1600 4:59.6 (negative split, 3:32, 2:27)
I had a HUGE meet planned to be 4/23, but there were storms and it got cancelled, it should be rescheduled soon.
I still have the same goals in mind that I did at the very beginning of the season last year, being sub 10:20, sub 4:50.
Keep in mind I haven't raced the 3200 at a meet with more than 4 teams, so I haven't ran against any competition thus far, last year it was the same way and when I did have competition I dropped a 15 second PR. Also I started the season focusing on the 3200, but then I got an urge to focus on the 1600, then I broke 5 so now I want to focus on the 3200 again, breaking 5 motivated me a ton and now I am ready to race the 3200
