I've been struggling to get a solid kick down. In most of my collegiate races I fall apart and slow down incredibly in the last 200m. (Primarily race 800-1500/Mile). Ex. Hit even splits for 1500, on pace for 4:02ish, attempt to kick last 200 to catch someone and my mechanics fall apart/blow up. Ran 4:08.
A large part of this has to be mental, but i'm not sure how to stop myself from making the same mistake over and over again. Am I forcing a kick too soon or just mentally weak?
