Portland, Oregon is Gross

It is mathematically impossible to like both Texas and Portland. I lived in Texas for a few years and now live in Portland. Personally, I prefer Portland.

I agree. I visited Portland for a conference a month or so ago and I could not for the life of me understand why so many people rave about it. FWIW, I've lived in Austin, Madison WI, and now Indianapolis. It wasn't as nice as Madison, had a terrible homeless problem, blah downtown, excellent public transit. Shrug.

Are the surrounding suburbs a Portland bad? Have a friend moving from the Blue Ridge Mountains to Portland. They haven't spent much time there and it's due to a work transfer.

I am a native portlander. it is white hipster-ville. I juts didnt know any better as a stuck youngin. like austin minus the brown people. best place to live in the USA is the Bay Area. Hillary will probably visit SF 10 times over her 8 years as president.. it is winner friendly.
