So tomorrow at the London Marathon Paul Martelletti is attempting to break the Spider-man suit World Record. Which is 2:33:58.
What I find more interesting is his aim to run under 2:30 to achieve this goal.
The Sunday just gone he Won the Greater Manchester Marathon in 2:17:47
and has a marathon PB of 2:16:49.
So if he runs tomorrow that will be two Marathons in one week. Just!
It got my thinking. (and I Googled for all my worth on the to find information) How many people have EVER run TWO sub 2:30 marathons in a week???
Could not finds any examples. Maybe you guys know of some examples?
What is the record for sub 3 hours marathons in a row for example as well?
BEST Examples I could find:-
World Marathon Challenge (7 Marathon 7 Days 7 Continents) The Winner averaged 3:39:26
Brathay 10in10 Club (10 Marathons 10 straight days) Guinness World Record - Adam Holland - 2010 - 30:20:54 (av 3:02:05) - I find this hard to believe!?
Not sure what else others can find?
....but still, TWO 2:30 Marathons in ONE week seems a greater challenge just for the speed Vs recovery boundary?
