This guy gets it.
This guy gets it.
He's a great guy that taught domestic riders how to use EPO during his farewell tour.
Ask him how his athlete, who used EPO to get into elite cycling, won il Giro. (Italian 3-week bike race) Clean!
Yeah, he's perfect for USATF.
The guy manages his team through twitter. He is one of the biggest hypocrites in cycling.
Two of his team's top Grand Tour placings, 1st and a 4th showed clear signs of blood manipulation when published. He blamed both on a machine calibration error. One in 2009, and one in 2012. No other machine issues ever talked about except those.
He served no punishment for his doping at US postal. He hid the admission of past EPO use by one of his riders (the won who went on to win the GT with dodgey values). He has a man crush on Oleg Tinkov, a man with money and charisma but has been shown to encourage doping on his teams; a thorn in the sport. He pals around with another DS, Creed, who had hidden his drug use until he was just recently outed. He teammed up with Johan Bruynel in a fight against the UCI, threatening a splinter organization from the sport.
His team is one of the worst performing teams in the ProTour right now. His business model leaves him with one of the smaller budgets in the peloton. His inisght intonthe business of procycling is empty language followed by "...I just learned that while getting my MBA"
He is not the spokesman of the new generation, but a snakeoil salesman.
