I am trying to get faster - I was wondering if anyone actually knew of supplements (iron, vitamin C, milk thistle, etc) that many professional runners take? I know that you can read up on just about anything online and it will make it sound like it will help you reach a new level - especially things on weight lifting websites. But if anyone has any info or can give me a list of some good supplements/pre-workout/recovery items they use I would appreciate it.
This is a serious thread, so if you start saying things like "hard work" I don't want to hear it. I do work hard, I'm just looking for anything that people have taken that they believe has proved to make a difference, or if anyone has any inside information on what pros are doing (within legal parameters) then help a brother out.
