Last year during track season as an 8th grader I ran a 5:28 1600m but was injured in the second lap. This year as a freshman I ran 18:14 for xc (3.1 miles) and I have my first track meet coming up soon and have not had a time trial so I do not know what I should set as a goal for the race, the latest workout that I have done to give a you a clue of what my current fitness level is was 6x400m (1:12,1:14,1:15, 1:16, 1:16 and 1:20 ) with a 3min. recovery between each. I do hope to pr is this reasonable and what do you think would be a good goal time? also How fast do you think I am capable of?
