Why does it seem no high school super star wants to go to UCLA? It's a great campus, has an amazing athletic facility, and a great young coach? Just wondering what's stopping these runners from choosing UCLA?

Rai Benjamin is going there next year idk about your defenition of superstar but I would consider him one
Do they have an amazing athletic facility?
I have heard that UCLA is surprisingly cheap in its support of its sports programs. At least that is what I have heard about its major sports programs. I can't imagine it would be any different with track.
My nephew hopes to go there by earning an athletic scholarship in another sport. The coaches have been in contact with him so it isn't just a dream.
It is really hard to get into UCLA these days through academics. No way in hell I'd get in. I don't know anything about the track program but in my nephew's sport the coach is attracting the top talent from around the nation.

As an undergrad, it's a diploma mill. I don't imagine they would give track and field athletes the 'ball sports' diploma either.
I don't know the aspiring student's situation. Maybe it is the best choice.
