While there are probably others who think like you do, you are in the minority (or born after 1990).
Nah
I was about as big a fan of the three original SW movies as a kid could be. I still have a lot of the original action figures. I have three of those Darth Vader heads that hold like 50 action figures each. My kids play with the now.
Anyway, i never cared much for the prequels and think it is kind of funny to see all of these people in their 20s gushing over the new film.
Whatever. I don't care either way, people can like what they like. But every movie they put out just takes the franchise that much closer to a joke.
Just out of curiosity, when did it become cool to be a big nerd?

Born in '75.
I guess the new trailer looked alright. Personally looking forward to the new Road Warrior:

I am really looking forward to the new Star Wars, yet am not giving it super high expectations.
My friends who are not as big fans of the series as me are also looking forward to it.
The new trailer gave me a new hope for JJ Abrams treatment of the series.
Chewy, we're home.
Yes, for one simple reason. If it's not George Lucas, it's not Star Wars.
The central theme to the first 6 films is slavery. Without Lucas, the next three will surely be about something else.
