I am not sure if Pikach will be posting his results from today’s half marathon for anonymity’s sake, but I hope it was a real burner.

*Friday’s track workout:
4x100m accelerations (400m pace-->all out, ~:16 each). Slow jog back recoveries.
1x200m acceleration (400m pace-->all out, :31.4).
2x200m all out (:29.7, :30.2). 600m walk after all the 200s, ~7:00 full recovery.
Friday was my re-introduction to faster running in an attempt to improve my overall speed and my stride power. Over the next few weeks, I will work my way up to 5x200m per session. I haven’t run that fast in quite some time, which is probably why I felt gangly and awkward at top speed. I am hoping to eventually get my 200s back down to 28 low, 27 high range like in high school, when I could consistently run 54-55 secs in an open 400m.
Everything else was pretty easy volume building, just to play it safe after a race-filled March. As such, I did an easier progression with the long run this morning.
Hope everyone else had a great week.
