There is real drama in the world. Performing a risky surgery to save a life, being at war in a life threatening battle, even taking a test where the result could change your life are examples of real drama.
Sports drama is pretend drama. The results of who scores more points
or runs a faster 5k has no real life consequences that meet the criterion of true drama. Its just play drama. People work so hard for this play drama its really kind of silly.
In some cases, because its result could lead to a big money payout its a kind of drama but a very contrived drama. Some might argue if people believe its result is so important (even though the result really isn't) its drama. Well it might be drama but its only play or pretend drama.
Everybody keep hard training if you want, but realize that if you are getting worked up about the big upcoming race, its only pretend drama.
