I'm currently looking for some new racing flats to do speed sessions and road races in without paying obscene amounts. Any recommendations for good, relatively cheap flats?

I really like the Inov-8 Road-x-lite 155. Super comfy with an awesome wide toe box. Probably my favorite shoe ever to wear. I think retail is 120 dollars which is ridiculous but I've found pairs on ebay for as low as 40 bucks which is awesome.
I've been wearing the nike zoom streak lt2 and like them. very light but seem pretty durable so far (better than the lt1).
I saw a Instagram photo of Emma Coburn on vacation wearing a bikini. I bought the NB 1400v3 the next day. I don't even run.
I bought the bikini
pics? Did you buy the classic blue shoe or the safety neon yellow shoe?
the V3 is the new one just out. Its like a light blue. Very happy with it after 1 race. I used the asics hyper speed that year, that are similar . There must be shoe store guys here, I would guess the NB Zante will be the top seller this summer. give those a try if your shopping.
The new Adidas flyknit feathers are really nice. I saw them for about $107 in HK. They were were so cool! Couldn't buy them though as my feet are too wide.
Check amazon. I generally like adidas as I have worn flats from Nike, Brooks, and Asics. Brooks (used to be three) only has two flat choices: The T7 is very lightweight (around 5 0z.) but really shouldn't be worn for a marathon. I like the shoe but I always manage to get it too small (get it for $35 to $40 at the Brooks Outlet). The other one (name escapes me) is great too but I like it more for training than racing. It is closer to 7 or 8 oz. I have worn it on 20 mile runs and they felt great, but I am a supinator so I don't like that the shoe has a bit of support. Same thing with some Asics flats. Nike is just...no. My friends like the spider, but the cheapest one is always the Streaks. Hard to find and on sale, but I got them for $11.97 at an outlet (not my size). Not a bad shoe but doesn't like too long (again wide feet).
The Adidas Hagio is onsale on runningwarehouse and cheap on amazon, but I recommend the Takumi Sen which is expensive but netted me a ten minute PR in the marathon!
Also: if you are in the market for a retro look:

Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
