The students were getting loans for schools that were under investigation.
And their degrees and credits from there are worthless.
It seems like nothing in the borrowing process let the students know about this.
I think they were victims in this case.
We're not not talking about kids who took loans for Harvard and don't want to pay it back.
Is there really an obligation to let them know the schools are under investigation? An investigation doesn't mean they are guilty. They should have notified them, but required? Very debatable.
What I don't understand is how can anybody go $100k into debt without realizing the classes were crap?
