Hey guys. I was getting through a foot injury and I was biking A LOT through it...like hard biking for 45 minutes every day doing a high level on the bike, between 9-15...and I wasn't stretching really before and/or after it, or doing any stretching, rolling, etc of that sort. Biking for like, 2 weeks straight, more or less?
I was out running for like 1.5 months, and finally started to come back...and only 5 runs on, on FLAT surface, not fast, etc, between 3-5 miles, my ITBS hit me like a train out of nowhere and it was SO inflamed and felt bumpy and lumpy.
Could the cycling w/ no stretching brought it on, and then the running just made it worse? I am a collegiate runner. I don't want to think the running brought it on primarily. Never had IT issues.
