I'm glad I didn't see Lagat lay an egg
what happened to 7:37 and shit
Didn't see Brenda Martinez's name in the top 17 results posted at the link above, which went down to a time of 17:16. She was planning to run this. Was she a DNS or DNF? Either way, does anyone know why?
Don't you mean Genzebe rather than Tirunesh?
Lagat must have taken a little break between indoors, planning on a late European season. I was curious about Martinez as well.

So 3rd place sucks but only partly sucks? Is that what you're saying?
Lalang's no slouch in case you haven't been following the sport that closely in recent years.

She was DNF. Tweeted something about an illness? "couldn't breathe" or something.

What I'm saying is that soon after 7:37, Lagat running 13:40 is not a good performance, especially when his goal was over 20 seconds faster. He wasn't running for place.
But this should be obvious, why do people need these things spelled out?

Everybody expected to run faster... Including the winner.
Its a new course , 1st time its been raced on. They said it was faster, results tell the truth, its not faster, slower course with better views for the fans with loops slower for the athletes.
