Asian record holder Kiryu ran anchor on a totally messed up 4x100 at Texas Relays but was faster on anchor than Justin Gatlin then hour later wins 100 in 9.87 with a 3.3 wind that converts to a 9.93 legal 2.0 with Ryan Bailey 2nd in 9.89.

Have they out up the videos for both races yet? Do you have splits for Gatlin versus Kiryu? Also he ran faster than Brommell with the same wind
Kiryu ran 9>87?
Has the 200 been run yet?
Yes, with illegal wind. I don't belive he ran the 200m, though I think another Japanese runner went 20.0x in the 200m, also illegal wind
Thanks
Looks like Asian 100m and 4 x 100 records are in jeopardy this yr

I haven't found the Kiryu or the relay video yet but here is Brommell in his windy 9.90. Kid is such a beast, gives me hope for US sprinting
great run, but I wouldn't call a 9.87 with 3.3 m/s worth 9.93 with legal wind.
I'm not sure on the accuracy and I don't have the calculator, but I think another poster said that a 9.87 with that wind is something like a 10.03 basic? So probably a sub ten with max wind at least. I think this shows he's capable
Kiryu's 9.87 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HijUX27lYTM
A 9.87 with 3.3 wind converts to 9.93 with a 2.0 using Track and Field News wind and altitude chart. Pretty simple deal to look up.
On surface SARMS would be what I would suspect. But Japan has never had a doping culture in their track history. Also Kiryu is the real deal. This track season has started off rather interesting I would say......
Here is the calculator:
http://myweb.lmu.edu/jmureika/track/wind/
9.87 with +3.3 converts to 10.02 with 0.0 with altitude set for Austin TX. So with legal wind, it\'s going to be 9.9-low.
But the Japanese still are snakebit in terms of getting am official sub-10 done in a legal race. I hope Kiryu runs in the New York DL against Bolt. I think if he runs in the circuit in the summer, he's going to get it done somewhere.
Interesting to hear the note in changing his setting in the blocks, you don't hear technical details like that too often
