I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread on this. Maybe there was and I missed it. If that's the case, sorry for the double post. This probably should have been a prediction contest or at least an LRC poll. I guess all the focus went to World XC (I just pulled an all nigther watching / writing about it).

I haven't given this a ton of thought, but going to throw out 1:52.37. I think I'm just usually pretty pessimistic when it comes to sprinters moving up to a mid-distance event. It's obviously a lot different than a 200m guy going to the 400 or a 5K guy going to the 10K. If Wariner was still in PR 400 shape I'd be more generous, but he hasn't been running great in recent years ... didn't even break 46.0 last year. A good race for him would probably be 1:47-1:48, but I just don't think he's going to run good (well). I haven't read anything about him since last year though so I'm not basing this off much. I hope he does better than my prediction.
Any thoughts / predictions?
