I am a freshman distance runner for track, primary focus is 3200 and 1600. This Saturday I have a meet, where I will be doubling up on these events. On Sundays I typically do my long run. On the Monday after the meet, I am most likely going to a 8th grade/9th grade meet to run with my 8th grade teammates. I would definitely be doing the 4x800 relay, and if I get my preference I would run the open 800 as well just to work speed, but they may stick me in the mile to get points. Then I will have another 3200/1600 double a week from Friday. So WTF do I do Sunday? Short recovery run? Long run but really slow? Rest? By the way, I know it is retarded that I am expected to run this many meets in this amount of time but I have no choice. It's something all freshman go through at my school. I run about 35-45 mpw and am 15, if that matters. Thanks in advance.
