When she is able to run a fast 5k/10k with a huge closing 400-800m, then she has medal potential.
How are medals won at the olympics and world championships? Kick. Strategy and kick. Centrowitz can kick. Symmonds can kick. Rupp can kick.
Huddle is a strong runner with fast times, but I don't see her even in the same game with the Dibabas, Defar, or Kipyego.

She is awesome and a model for US distance running...but she hasn't proven that she has a kick. Without a kick, something weird would have to happen for her to medal at 10k. Heat, dropouts, a crash, bad pacing up front while she picks up the scraps at the end...could happen, but not in a normal race I think. Although if KGoucher could medal, so can huddle I suppose.
That's one reason she has been running roads - you don't need a kick in the marathon. I'm sure she is headed to the marathon very soon - the only question is if soon means 2016 or 2017.
