I've written our final piece on the Bob Hersh-Stephanie Hightower situation before the Board meets this weekend. You can find it here:
I would encourage people to show the Board you care about this. If you agree with my sentiment, like the piece on facebook, tweet about it using the tags #WeAreUSATF and @usatf. If USATF getes more social engagement on this issue than the US Marathon or 15k champs, hopefully the Board takes notice. I think many people are disillusioned with USATF but they don't take proactive action to do anything about it. I fell into this camp. I quit being a member a long time ago but that is the wrong attitude. Just complaining does nothing. So please take the time to advocate for change. If you know people on the Board and would like to email them you can find their info here: http://www.usatf.org/About/Com...ctors.aspx
Reach out to prominent athletes and get them to tweet to the Board. Someone come up with a more clever hashtag.
The Board members I communicated with indicated they might change their minds. Now is the time to act.
