Ben Lindsay was second today in a high profile 10k road race in the UK finishing second (by 1 second) in 29.19.
He's currently not affiliated to a UK club which is quite rare and hasn't raced for around 3-4 years since finishing at Iona.
From what I have read he finished at Iona after being injured on and off for a lot of his time, had quite a serious hip operation and worked as a volunteer assistant coach at Ole Miss then back at Iona before his visa expired and he had to come back to the UK.
He's now coached by UK marathon standout Scott Overall apparently. Does anyone know if Ben posts on here as I'd be really interested to know what his current set-up is, what sort of training he is doing now under Overall to have got into such good shape as he beat a very decent UK field today and had hardly raced over the past few years?
Does anyone know what type of training he does and how he's managed to overcome the constant injuries he seemed to have prior to this race?
Great to see him back as he's a very talented guy and seems to have turned a corner to get back into this type of shape.
