The 100 mile run
some ultra thing, if you are even counting ultra events. Otherwise, something obscure like 30K on a track (indoors)
Mo Farah broke it not so long ago... after a training session in Ethiopia with Hamza Driouch!
Probably the 50km record. It's plenty fast, but my understanding is that the 50km doesn't require much beyond marathon training, so it's definitely within the reach of many elites. That said, you probably need to be a 2:10 marathoner to have a hope.
Some treadmill record. Like the half marathon treadmill WR.

It is definitely not a track record because 1500m to the 10K records are so strong that no on has made even made an attempt at those record in over a decade. The road record equally as strong, I am not exactly sure the road 5K record is, but the road 10k is an insane 26:44. Excluding odd distances and/or the ones that the best in the world rarely run, I would have to say the half marathon, only because a 2:02 marathoner could probably run a 58:23 half marathon.
If you count the silly distances, the 1h record could be beat from running a half marathon and keeping a decent clip for an extra 30 seconds.
Otherwise, it's obviously the marathon. That record has been falling at least annually for a while now.
The world record for the 25k on the track is 1:12:25.4 or 2:53.8/k. 2:54.8 is WR pace for the marathon. So I think the 25k and 30k are sitting ducks.

Actually, the 20,000 (track) and 1 hour (track) are the softest within the range of 3k-marathon which seems to be what some of the board, including the quoted post above, are really thinking about. (Although I agree that 50k and up are not on par with El G, Komen, Kenny B, et al, they're sort of in a different category)
These 2 were, and usually are, done in one event. Geb has them, and they are not on par with his other PRs. Compare to Tadese and you'll see what I mean.
Track 'thon WR is soft. Kipchoge, Kipsang or Kimetto (hereafter KKK) could smash it, even after getting lapped in the early stages. Kenenisa, Kebede or Kitwara (kkk) could nip the WR but they must front-run and avoid getting lapped. The creature to whom the evolutionary 5-toothed jawbone belonged to could have eaten KKK and kkk in one sitting and then gotten up and run a time that all the CERA, thyroid meds, and Alter G treadmills in Eugene and GB could never reproduce. This post doesn't even take into account what a prime Ryun wouda run. Or Steve MF Prefontaine. Or turn-of-the-century vintage Wejo with Breathe-Right nasal strip.
