A couple of weeks ago I had some pretty bad blisters on my pinky toe, those blisters popped and now I have a really bad cut on that toe. It hurts to do everything, even lay down. I can run but it has been affecting my form a bit.
Does anyone have any experience with this and know what I should do?
If I remember correctly, when I got a large nasty blister from running down a mountain, the nurse gave me giant band aid/dressing things that had iodine on them which I had to change regularly. I guess they'd have them at pharmacies?
It hurt too much to be able to walk properly, let alone run, plus it was impractical with needing it to heal.
I feel you're pain, they're sore things to deal with. Keep everything as clean as you can, cut any hanging skin off, the skin will gradually grow back.

1) Get rid of the cause. Wear nylon socks, not cotton. Wear shoes with nylon, leather or similar uppers, not canvas.
2) Cake the blisters liberally with powdered sulfur, and repeat several times a day.
3) Tape the worst blisters with white adhesive tape or similar, and gauze is fine too.
If you have exposed the underlying layers of skin then you might want to consider using a hydrocolloid dressing to keep it wet. I used them when I managed to tear off a large chuck of skin from the underside of my big toe. They can work wonders but change it daily otherwise you run the risk of it getting a bit rank.
