As for me, I'm hitting the treadmill. We have a couple inches of snow on top of a layer of ice. I'm not risking injury by running on this. It's just not safe. I'm not putting my spring season at risk just to brag about being a cold weather tough guy.
My point wasn't that you have to be a "tough guy" or risk injury. My point is that, in Dallas, winter can be planned around. So, if you are complaining about running on treadmills, it is for one of 3 reasons:
1) You don't plan ahead (each ice day has had either a morning or night where running was safe)
2) You don't have a schedule that allows morning or night
3) You can't handle moderately cold temperatures (i don't think we've had anything below 20 this winter)
