Hello everyone! My name is Hector Cotto and I am a 110 meter high hurdler. I have been competing in the event for over 15 years, and have lots of international experience including 2 Olympic Games and 4 World Championships (2 indoor 2 outdoors).
I am nearing the end of my running career, and so am looking to the coaching side now.
I have trained with many great coaches over the years, but have been self-coached for a majority of my career.
The 110 hurdles are an incredibly technical event, but after hundreds of hours of study (literally) and even more hours training and competing, I am confident to call myself an expert on the event.
I recently started a website called sprinthurdles.com to share all that ive learned as an athlete, and more importantly to help aspiring hurdlers, without access to 110 hurdle experts (like me as a young athlete) improve in the sport.
I wrote a 27 page ebook a few months back, but never shared it until recently. The book is called Mastering the 1st Hurdle and it describes my techniques and strategies for improving the start to the 1st hurdle.
If you are interested in reading it, you can download it for FREE, by visiting my blog.
I hope it provides good information for you guys and I would appreciate any feedback you may have!
