I recently ran a 1:18 in a half marathon. I'm 31, a hair under 6 feet, and weigh 172-175 lbs when in running shape (hoping to get lighter).
Since starting to train seriously, I have dropped from a 1:28 to the above 1:18 time. This is over the course of 3 years and with multiple long breaks (got injured in a boat accident, tore my ACL, and at one point I just stopped running to focus on lifting - weird, I know).
As my training gets more consistent, I keep getting faster. Not that it's a surprise that is happening, but when a 6 minute pace starts feeling more like a jog, you wonder where this is going.
My question to the world is how fast can I go in a half marathon, given the above info? I would like to break 1:10 one day, so do you think that's possible?
