well that didn't work
Check out Ben Buckley of Fairport, NY, and Dalton Hengst of Owing Mills, OH.
There are 3 very promising young guns in Minnesota, all from top high school programs. Two have running in the family, the other is the most talented kid I've ever seen. He hasn't done anything to attract national attention yet, but I sense that will change very soon. I'm using this post like a time capsule, bookmarking it so I can show everyone how I recognized this from the beginning. I've watched Hassan Mead, the Heath brothers, Eli Krahn, the Blankenships, Solinsky, Finnerty, Fisher, Ritzenhein, and more and knew they would be great years in advance (not Krahn). This kid is more gifted than all of them.
Dustin Horter of Lakota East HS in Southeast Ohio. Also, if you want to take it a step further, an eighth grader who should be on everyone's radar is Christopher Ruszkowski of Memorial Middle School in Northeast Ohio. Kid ran 10:02 for 3200m on an XC course, breaking the Ohio middle school record.

Charlie Kern from York high school in Illinois is undoubtedly the best freshman runner in the country. He ran 14:34 at the end if the cross season. He just ran a low-key 4:24 1600 time trial. Split 1:26 for a relaxed 600. By far the most talented freshman runner in the nation
Hes the best frosh in the nation because he split a 1:26?

But did she run 14:36?
Is this kid the next coming of Scott Fry? Or is he a future Flagpole?

i heard about this kid too. incredible talent. he's looking to really bust out this year and drop some quick times in XC, looks like he could even win state.

That course is short. MS kids run their best times by far there every year. Short course.

That 14:36 is for 3 miles, not 5,000 meters.
I've heard he's been lifting big time, so I'd bet his best event this spring will be the 800 or mile.

Who? There's a slow Noah Carpenter form MI who graduated in 2014. No hs freshmen in the country named Noah Carpenter according to milesplit.
