Hey all,
I self-diagnosed with Road Runner Sports's Shoe Dog and purchased the Pegasus 31s a little over 3 weeks ago.
I've put roughly 30 miles on 'em so far and the only issue I have so far is that my left ankle tends to hurt a little bit after longer runs.
I went in today to Road Runner to verify my gait and confirmed that I overpronate a smidge. The saleswoman said my options were a new shoe with slight stability or a $71 custom insole.
I have a hard time believing these are my only options and figured I'd reach out to the awesome people of Lets Run to get some additional input.
I'm inclined to simply tape the ankle that bothers me or take some time off building up strength in both ankles as its been 5 years since I've been this active and loss of strength could be a legitimate reason why the ankle's bothering me.
Thoughts?
Should I take the Pegasus 31s back for a new shoe with better support for slight overpronation? Custom insole? Tape the ankle?
Thanks in advance for the advice. Y'all are awesome!
