Perhaps $200k/year from all income sources?
Perhaps $200k/year from all income sources?
It is certainly possible. I jsut wonder how that would affect the poor and middle class. Without upper level management and CEOs doing any work, many companies would collapse. I would be concerned about the unemployment rate among the poor and middle class.
What, exactly, would this maximum wage/salary policy fix?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Upon further review it turns out that it is not time to start a discussion on implementing a maximum wage. Please continue to check back periodically for updates on when the appropriate time for this discussion is.

No one is "worth" ten or a hundred times what any other person is worth unless your definition of the word worth is really screwed up.
obvious troll is obvious. OP is either a college student (aka stupidest people on earth), or a true moran.

Barely enough to get by on. The median selling price of an apartment around here is $1.2 million.

No. But then, I am not into any of that new-fangled cookware.
Why should we stop someone from achieving more? If your point is to help the poor and middle class then limiting someone else isn't going to do that. Figure out a way to eliminate poverty not limit wealth creation or income. Solving poverty is where the focus should be.
Studies have shown approximately 10% of people across all societies are solely focused on being marginally better off than their neighbor even if it means significantly lowering the standard of living for everyone. People need to focus on improving their situation and stop trying to limit others.
Now stop trolling.........
This is the epitome of how a static liberal mind thinks. Obviously once this maximum wage is implemented, the prices/value of things in high-end areas would plummet since no one could afford them. Very basic economics.I wonder how the rich NYC, SF, and LS liberals that care so much for equality will like the repercussions of this ultimate equality-inducing policy? Hmm.

Yeah he was the man in high school. Whatever happened to him? He was on the 2000 Olympic squad, no? Stanford => injuries => end of running career I would guess. None the less, thanks for posting that brings back a lot of memories.
...oh BTW, OP 0/10, conservative StrawMan type posts are getting really old.
"Harrison Bergeron" by Kurt Vonnegut. Read it. Its only a few pages long.
Egalitarianism is the antithesis of human nature. Competition is a good thing. There must be winners and losers in life, it is a philosophical fact. Competition is what forces humans to excel, evolve, and grow as a species. The accompanying ying to that yang are those that do not have the talent, ability, or work ethic to fall behind. It is natural. It is inevitable. And, it is fantastic.

Barely enough to get by on??? I know most people don't feel the exact same way I do, but sheesh, has it really come to this in America, where nearly a quarter million dollars per year! every year! is barely enough? My gosh. Have you ever left your gated communities or downtown apartments with doormen & seen how the other 98% (closer to 99%) of the world live?
great idea brah wrote:

It's actually not how a liberal mind thinks at all. Itis how a cconservative wants to make up a stance, claim it is liberal policy, and attack it instead of reality.

That' pretty funny. OP was VERY obviously trolling. No chance in hell that he/she was serious about this. And yet here you are getting all riled up.
Unless of course you too are just trolling for kicks and grins. In which case you got me. Congrats.
