I run XC and track year round, and right now I am in indoor track. I am also a high schooler. I started off freshman year strong and I was a good runner. But sophomore year track and junior year cross I haven't been able to get anywhere near where I was, because of injury and my mental block. I wanted to ask you guys what you think about during races? How do I make myself forget the pain during racing and my lack of confidence? Is there a trick to doing this because I am tired of being mediocre. I can do it in the practices, run great tempo and workout times with the people I should be running with but I can't pull it off when it comes to racing. Please help?
