I am a collegiate distance runner. In early January I returned to school, and during workouts I noticed I felt more fatigued than usual, and just felt off in general. I thought it might just be that I was more out of shape than I thought, so continued training hard. The fatigue got worse and I developed cold symptoms. I went to the doctor and my blood came back normal, i did not have mono, and even my iron and Vitamin D levels were good. So they said it was a virus- which led my coach to tell me to take off completely, so I didn't do any exercise for about two weeks to give my immune system a break. My symptoms didn't improve so I just recently went to the doctor and again had normal blood levels. I've had a fever for the past couple of days, which hopefully proves to be a good thing? I'm slated to start doing light exercise next week (granted the fever passes). Is there any consensus on running with viruses? Am I going to dig myself into a hole? I'd like to salvage an outdoor season, so I want to get back to at least doing short, low intensity runs. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly, greatly appreciated- as I have not received any helpful information whatsoever
