It has only been a few weeks since Lagat has gone on a tear taking down the masters world records and I am already sick of all the hype (both pre & post race) over them,
Anybody else with me on this?

No, it's cool. It's a lot better than that Senior's Golf Tour where a bunch of broken old men play a few rounds of golf.
These fast masters are FAST. Lagat isn't the only one and from the past there were some like Foster and Campbell in the marathon who were competitive with the younger guys.
Also not "with you on this" Perhaps you're really young & don't have the perspective it takes to see what a frigg'in amaz'in feat we are witnessing here. Pay attention & enjoy this.
No.
Would love to see the top 45+ duke it out over a mile.
Since these records can be classified as "Currently World Class" and have been set during races populated by the current group of world class athletes I think it's of interest. With many of the boards population either fans of their own running or of the individual events (distance) they competed at I'm not the typical LR poster.
I'm sure many are with you but I'm not one of them.
I am also tired of the masters record attention.
40 isn't all that old, so hey like big deal already.
Give me some Seniors or even Grand Masters World Record ink to read and I'm a happy man.
