so back in the day, if you pulled something out of you arse and couldn't back it up, then it was what it was - possibly truth, possibly opinion.
scholarly reports required a degree of citation but the process was long and required specialization.
what we are approaching today is the ability to search for "near-truth" articles/verification and maybe, just maybe, something has been written about it that "proves" your point.
Krispy's Law states that were are rapidly approaching universal, pseudo-citation ability. I'll save the mathematical proof for another day for the time being.
The limit of "Krispy's Law" will be the day that you can search for anything (communist football in Saigon played by unicorns) and find an article that "verifies" the "existence" of such an event.
