What's the slowest time I could have to walk on Grand Valley State? I don't know their standards so I just want to know the cut off mark.

16:05-10 in XC and 4:24-4:25 in the 1600.
GVSU is a phenomenal school with an excellent cross country and track team.
I walked on with an xc pr around 16:40 and a 10:00 for the 3200m. GV has had many runners over the years that had incoming prs of around 9:50 or over including former All-Americans Alan Peterson and Jake Isaacson. I'm not sure how much, if at all, this has changed but they have been accepting of a pretty wide range of times in the past. Just expect to redshirt and/or not contribute right off of the bat. But you can certainly develop there. I got to run at xc nationals one year, though the team has continued to get deeper since then.

This pretty much sums it up. Basically everyone red shirts no matter talent. Great facilities, wonderful coaching staff, and a fun team atmosphere with plenty of great talent to train with.
I don't run there, but I've heard from numerous people that it is a meat grinder program.
I grew up around Grand Valley, although I did not go there. it is definitely a meat grinder. If you are injured, you will get no attention from coaching staff, None.
I also grew up around it. Not even sure what you mean by meat grinder. All they do is win
I would characterize GV as the opposite of a meat grinder. They put us in groups depending on our ability and were very patient building mileage early on. Coach Baltes once dropped what was doing and wrote a personalized training plan for me for the month after coming back from an injury.
