Can you explain the difference between a hill session for duration and a hill session for length?
Can you explain why you wouldn't be bettor off also covering weight lifting in two sessions and rotating through all 6 workouts?
Shirley,
If you rotate through all workouts, say, - weights, swim, hills, weights, swim, hills you are not running as relaxing as much as - swim, hills, swim, hills, relax, relax
Running hills for duration is like saying I want to run sub 4 for the mile so I am going to run up this hill for no more and no less than for 4 minutes until I max out.
Running hills for distance is like saying I need to be able to run 10x400 in 60 seconds to run sub four minute mile so instead I'm just going to run 40x100m and try to shorten the length of the recovery in between. Speed here is not important, the withstanding the proper form and my acme control for 1600m hard is.
Running doesn't take strong people to do it in the sense that all the strength you need for running can be found in running. The swimming is there for recovery and muscle recruitment that might not be used in sprinting until after you engage it through swimming. Swimming is a full body workout and so is running properly.
