That might be an age-17 indoor WR.

Hopefully you do know that when Qatar acquires a West African athlete, they issue them a new passport, with a new name and backdates their age; this athlete could be in his mid-20s. However, 45.39 makes him one of best in the world even among the senior ranks, which is why I hope Qatar does enter him in World Juniors next year.
Young or old Still he is fast interms time in sport
TrackCoach is jealous that young American males cannot compete with the rest of the world's track athletes.

I don't think that's it at all XD. They really do get issued a new passport, birth certificate etc. As sad as that is, he does seem to be an extraordinary athlete, no matter what age.

Not jealous at all, it makes our sport more interesting when sprint medals are spread among different countries. I look forward to following this athletes career; I just don't want to see him entered into any junior competitions.
Two things to think of:
I bet this athlete is virtually unknown, with no official times before the Galan meet, as if he clocked a 45.39i and never stepped foot on a track before. The reason why Qatar will not show previous performances is because that will connect him to his previous name and age.
Also, obviously "young American males" CAN compete with the rest of the world. Off the top of my head, I think the U.S. has won more world juniors 400m medals than the rest of the world combined and we have won every world junior's 4x4 except one.
Trust me on this , this young man is brand new to athletics , run last year in local competition in Qatar 45.72 , I was there by my self , I think he run twice mid 46s last year too. he used to be in another sport for couple of years ..
His name and his age is legit.

Yes, the USA has historically struggled at 400m.

LOL, you boys are in denial. The 400m relay final at the last Olympics didn't really happen.
Haroun just run 44.69 in South africa , amazing
Young Qatari Abdalelah Haroun today in Sasolburg 44.68 in the 400 m, WL, 6th best ever junior.
Haroun missed with small margin National sen record 44.66 and Asian jun record also 44.66.
Track Coach is definitely jealous of this young STAR and Qatari athletes. Haroun is a brand new athlete that can't hide his age as you can read that from his face. This great LR board doesn't need people like Track Coach that hates Young African athletes that are shining and a full of talent. Track Coach eat your heart out!
Hey muslim boy: fight your nature and stop stirring up trouble. No one is jealous. Trust me.
Spin PD...what is religion got to do with this? Speak for yourself, and talk track and real talent.
