That has to be worth a 410 1600 outdoors. The track at Fresno State is 160 yards long with very banked turns.
Impressive run. 407 this year? Only a junior.

1:14.56 600 yard run yesterday too.
Spikes or no?
They have indoor meets in CA when it is 75 and beautiful every day out in the Golden State?

The impressive thing was how he did it. The leader split 2:14 - I'm not sure how far back he was, but he did the second half in 2:02 or better. I think he will be a real threat at the state and national level in the mile/1600 this year.

Just watched the video - he was on the leaders shoulder, for 2:14/2:02 for Cortes.

Looks a bit colder than 75 to me. California is not just SD, LA and SF.

If you mean he will be a threat for 2nd place, you might be right. But there are no threats to Tamagno in the 1600, other than Tamagno's in alternate realities that may or may not run faster than he does in our reality. He wins in every reality possible, though, so any perceived threat in your mind was never a true possibility.

Haha - no one has that much of a lock on anything. I agree that Tamagno is the favorite, but even he has to watch his back.

Wow way to predict this, he just ran 4:07 for the 1600 last Saturday. Gave Austin tamagno a good race

Cortes rode Tamagno's wake as long as he could, and stayed afloat well once he fell off, but to say he gave him a good race is a stretch. Tamagno didn't have a competitor in his peripheral vision after the first 100 meters.
Cortes runs with balls, for sure.
