I have had a groin injury now for about a month. I have ridden a stationary bike, both upright and recumbent, in order to maintain fitness. Even switching to the recumbent, I think it has aggravated my groin area some. Thus, my physical therapist says I should switch to the elliptical trainer. I am hesitant about this, as I have read that the elliptical could possibly irritate the groin.
I am at a complete loss here, as my leg is still not ready to run yet. I can run some, but my stride is far from "correct," and I do have some pain/discomfort. I am at a loss because I do not know what else to do in order to maintain fitness. A month ago, I had the best fitness of my life. These injuries almost make me want to quit running.
Please advise.
