Cam comes back from a 3:54.7 mile less than 30 minutes prior to take the 2 mile over Rupp!

Rupp didn't say something but obviously something was up recently. Maybe sick or missed a few days? This was originally billed as a WR attempt, the he switched to a mile/2mile double, then to only a 2mile with an expected slow pace? They knew something was off before the race obviously.
Levins looked awesome out there, especially rolling it it up over the last 150m of the 2 mile. Very impressive double by him today!
Probably sick or coming back from injury or something like that. Or he was getting his doors blown off by Cam in workouts. Woooo.
Now he will get the silent treatment from al sal and the entire Nike running staff.
lol

Didnt you hear him... it was just a RUSTBUSTER
Rustbuster is a poor excuse for a poor performance.
How about, "Rupp, just didn't have it. The better runner won"
Rupp lost a 5K like 2 weeks before he ran the AR in the 10000m, where he basically was able to double that 5000m time he ran. Obviously I'm sure he wanted to win today, but I still have the theory that he wants something special to happen at Millrose, and is just training through this.
I'll still put him for sub 13 at millrose and this was just a rust buster. If he lost millrose I think that means there was a problem

Except Jerry's boys, who will celebrate loudly.

Too bad Lawi didn't run the mile and push Levins, he split 3:52-low in the DMR
Lawi Lalang should've ran the open mile! And I think Rupp needs a new training team. Galen should not be training with Mo because they are competitors.

Cam won yet the reporter speaks to Rupp first seemed rude.
You mean Alberto actually let the reporter talk to Cam?

Not good for Cam's future...how long before Salazar makes him leave? Can't be beating the poster boy. Just ask Ciaran.

Cam knows he is back seat to Rupp. He said during his interview "Rupp will probably kick my ass in the 5k in two weeks." You could tell him winning and being interviewed with Rupp there was a little uncomfortable and definitely new for them.
I've been meaning to bring this up. Isn't the Rupp and Farah training partner relationship a little awkward now? It was great when Rupp wasn't seriously trying to challenge Farah's gold medal aspirations. But now the next step for Rupp is to try and take what Farah has. It would be like in tennis if Jimmy Connors and Mcenroe had been practice partners back in the day. Not a good mix and would not have happened.
