Do you think they will commission a sculptor to sculpt a likeness of Kobe for display at the Los Angeles City hall? The man saved the city from almost certain political and fiscal collapse. I don't like to throw this label around lightly but Kobe Bryant is a true American Hero.
It is almost certain that they will have a parade in his honor and they may declare his retirement date as an official state holiday.
Do you think the Lakers would have ever been able to win a championship without Kobe? Will they ever be able to rise to this level again without his majesty?
Good point(s). Hopefully we, as a nation, can put to use Kobe's unique skill set to help us in our war on terror. I recently saw the American Sniper film and can only imagine how much better off the troops would have been with Kobe serving in that capacity. The man is more than an athletic hero, he is a true blue American hero.
