I'm in the same boat. I've learned to write a schedule only one week in advance during base, in pencil and am okay with changes. I still follow three weeks of mileage increase, one week cutback then all over again. I get my runs in when I feel good with doubles and take a day off when needed, then I do long runs either sat or sun depending on how I feel.
While being obsessive about calories is bad, eating sh!t food is worse...godamn fat b@stard.
Bad food once a week or so isn't bad.
