I'm currently trying to eat a protein meal three times per day: a shake in the morning, some meat for lunch and meat/eggs/fish in the evening. Probably around 1g/2lb of body weight. Is this enough? I hope to break 3:30 this summer and to loose 10lb over the next months

I'd worry more about the fact that you aren't running as far in a week as you plan on running in 3hrs more than your protein intake.
How's your gluten intake? You need to cut back on the whole grain carbs.

Guess what, both carbs and protein raise your insulin levels.
While protein is required by the human body, carbs are not.
What you need to focus on is FAT (saturated, n-3, monounsaturated). This will not raise your insulin levels. The rest of your diet should be mostly protein - carbs only from veggies.

This seems to be supported by some references found with Google. I will try it out.
Regarding mpw, yes it i low but I want to avoid injuries and increase it to 40-50 over the next months. I have two years of experience with functional training so I know what I'm doing
So if you were training for the 5K would you run 2 miles per week?

I know it's not nice - but I actually had to smile reading this :D Yeah, OP... Just up the miles and eat healthy... 20 MPW really is low mileage even for 3:30.
600-700 calories, 25-30% of your intake.
