All on the track??
4k was on a dirt road and the 400's were on a nearby track
Rest between 400's
Sorry should have put it in the original post. Rest between 400's were 60 seconds.
rest on the quarters?
60 seconds. Everything felt very easy and controlled.
I would say 14:40 depending how you race. The 4k is impressive especially if it isn't on a track. Following it with what you described as comfortable 400's makes it impressive.
He was only 23 seconds slower than 14:40 5K pace for 80% of the distance- and then did the 400s- so I think he could race faster than 14:40- maybe 14:20.
I agree, much better shape than 14:40. Doing a tempo that fast than the 400s shows that a low 14 is very possible.

Lol.
Who does a 12 min "tempo"?
That is not a tempo. More like 10k long rep that got out of control.
Impressive workout mate - don't peek too early though and be sensible not to get injured.
Clearly knows what he's doing if he's running that fast. 4k tempo is a great way to start a workout.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
